Gillian Blitch

Gillian has been the President and CEO of Santa Fe Art Auction since 2019. She and her team of 15 employees host eight to ten auctions annually with more than 50% of sales being Native American art. 

Gillian studied Latin American & Modern Iberian Regional Studies at University College London and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. 

Her professional career has covered a variety of fields including developing educational programs in Japan and marketing and communications in commercial real estate. She was the Director of the Mitchell Brown Fine Art Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ and has extensive experience managing private art collections. 

Marisa de la Pena

Marisa de la Pena is an artist and researcher based in Santa Fe. 

She holds an MFA from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where her work focused on contemporary Indigenous Art and Media. Formally a CSS Fellow at UCSB, she taught courses on Contemporary Indigenous Art and has participated in symposium’s with AIISA around her research on Indigenous horror in land art and film. 

Most recently she was an artist resident at Ma’s House, a communal art space on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in New York. Her writing has been featured in publications like Cake Zine and she has also been published by Harper Collins and Taschen Books.
